Given the recent update to Livejournal and that there seem to be changes within that are forcing the majority of the fandom to relocate. I have now created a mirror of this community on dreamwidth.org

It is live and everything has been copied over. Unfortunately there is not yet an option to cross post directly from the dreamwidth account to livejournal and vice versa as of yet so I will make regular updates to the dreamwidth community to ensure we don't lose anything.

If anyone has any questions or worries please don't hesitate to comment to this post or send me a DM. I'm not leaving Livejournal until I absolutely have to and so there is no problem posting your fics to this community if you're not yet or don't want to join dreamwidth.

For those that do this community has retained the same name so it should be easy to find.

EDIT: Just to alleviate any concerns, no I'm not planning on relocating the community over to Dreamwidth solely. It is still now and for as long as I can keep it a livejournal community. I'm just creating a back up which I'll update regularly for the 'just in case' livejournal boots us off ^_^;;

I'll also with fic writer's permissions of course cross post to livejournal links to any fics that are just posted to the dreamwidth transficsation community so everyone gets a chance to read and stay involved with fandom.

Hope this eases any concerns over a permanent move. :3

There is a site that is copying whole journal entries and fanfics and posting them on their blog and has been since 2011 but only providing the original link not asking permission nor descriminating Between journal posts and fanfiction.

It seems to use a bot to collect certain tagged fics and has already taken fic from rare-pairing.

as a result I'm probably going to lock all my communities to members only as a protection measure. I have also contacted live journal to see if anything can be done.

I've posted the site below please check if your work is there and if you're not happy you can request that they take it down.

Title: Giants of the Earth, Chapter 23
Author: hopeofdawn and fractalserpent
Rating: PG-13
Verse: Bayverse/movieverse
Characters/Pairing: this chapter--Optimus Prime, Prowl, Jazz, Ratchet, First Aid, Hogarth Hughes, Cosmos, the Giant, Soundwave and many, many other ensemble characters ....

Warnings/Notes:Takes place after DOTM, with minor tweaks to movieverse events/characters (so there are minor spoilers for the third movie). Most of the characterizations will be taken more from G1--especially Optimus, who is *not* the 'kill 'em all, let Primus sort 'em out' character he is in the movies. Most of the onscreen 'deaths' of Decepticons and Autobots have also fallen victim to authorial override--see the fic for details. No warnings in this chapter--for now. :)

White Aster was an awesome beta, once again--as always, all remaining mistakes are our own. :)

"It doesn’t matter how big and strong you are, you big idiot. There’s always something bigger that can kill you!” Ratchet turned away, his spark clenching in remembrance. The ancient memory-files Blaster had brought back had been bad enough, with their images of ancient Cybertronians tearing into the Giant’s kind. But worse were his own: memories of fire and destruction, of the gestalts and cityformers who had risen to fight against the encroaching darkness. Ratchet remembered how their great frames had shaken Cybertron down to its very core when they fell; remembered the dark halls and empty echoes where great sparks once lived, once cared for the smaller mecha in their charge.

Even giants could die.

Title: Excelsior: A Sequence (1/3)
Author: nebroadwe
Rating: K+/PG
Verse: Transformers Prime
Warnings: None.
Character(s): Smokescreen, Optimus Prime, Arcee
Pairing(s): None
Word Count: 1100 (this installment; 2300 total)
Summary: Smokescreen, from rookie to veteran. (This sequence was written for the 30 Days of Writing: A Drabble a Day challenge on Tumblr and will include a great deal of pre- and post-series headcanon that is not altogether compliant with the larger Aligned continuity.)

Finally, Smokescreen gets it.

He sees at last what everything was for: the endless drills, the studying, even the stint in stasis. Destiny was preparing him for this post, to stand shoulder to shoulder with Optimus Prime — the Optimus Prime! — against the enemy. (Sort of. That is, if Optimus weren't hanging from a gantry overhead right now.)

Title: Intermezzo, Chapter 6
Author: fractalserpent, hopeofdawn
Rating: PG-13/T+
Verse: Bayverse/movieverse, with some G1 additions
Characters/Pairing: this chapter--Ravage and other ensemble characters/OCs.

Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Crescendo' in the 'Sound and Fury' series. It takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for canon-typical violence for this chapter.

One of the hounds sent up a broadcast call, wide-banded to the pack and Enforcers alike: a blurred sensory impression of /sharp/ and /danger/ and /hunt!/. The dark creature that had torn into them earlier was now on the run, heading for the perimeter gates. The cyberhounds’ fear and confusion faded, directives snapping back into focus now that they had more familiar prey. The pack wouldn’t be caught by surprise this time -- Widecast could feel their determination. They would run the thing down and tear it apart.

But this time -- *this* time -- Widecast would make sure they did the job right. //Go! Hunt-and-disable!// he commanded the pack. Enforcer commands had been deeply encoded into their core programming: they would obey. And Widecast would be right behind them. He turned, transforming as soon as the corridor widened enough for his alt. Time to put an end to this game!

New story! Inspired by a gift/request by Siadea--the first chapter is a little shorter than we normally do, but hopefully people will like it anyway. :)

Title: To Mend and Defend, Chapter 1
Author: fractalserpent, hopeofdawn
Rating: PG-13/T+
Verse: Bayverse/movieverse, with some G1 additions
Characters/Pairing: Ensemble characters/OCs, plus a surprise protagonist!

Warnings/Notes:This fic is in the 'Sound and Fury' series, but does not actually focus on Soundwave or his crew. Just like 'Sound and Fury', it takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. No warnings for this chapter, unless fluffy cuteness counts. :)

“No no nonono!” The plump little hatchling scowled fiercely, faceplates folding into a unhappy grimace as he kicked and wriggled, batting away the new, finely-jointed digits that his creator was offering for incorporation. “Two pedes not enough--four pedes better! Want to be sharp tear pounce fast! Rrawr!”

More Maggie and cassetticon hijinks!

Title: Negotiation, Chapter 2
Author: fractalserpent, hopeofdawn
Rating: R/NC-17 (this chapter is PG-13, though)
Verse: Bayverse/movieverse, with some G1 additions
Characters/Pairing: this chapter--Ravage, Buzzsaw, Maggie Madsen, Flipsides, Soundwave, plus other ensemble characters/OCs.

Warnings/Notes:This is an AU off of our 'Sound and Fury' verse, in which the Autobot/Decepticon civil war never happened, and Cybertronians have found *ahem* unique new uses for humans. The rape/noncon archive warning is for the overall themes of this story-verse, which is neck deep in consent issues. We'll continue to use this archive warning on every installment due to the nature of the story-verse. Please heed the warnings if this isn't your thing.

Her new ‘owner’ tilted its -- his? -- head slightly. The robot wasn’t as big as some of the other aliens she’d seen, though it was definitely a size class up from most of the mecha in the Tower. If it lacked anything in size, though, it made up for that in intimidation. Instead of the smooth, curved plates of the Tower-bots, this alien was all angles and pointy bits framing a boxy chest. Broad, daggered panels swept downward from its back, and the place where its eyes should be was covered by a reflective visor, a darksome mirror that absorbed the room -- took it in, and warped it, casting back a dim and distorted vision.

Slowly, the full-size mech lifted one jaggedly-armored hand. Even the fingertips had been shaped into short, wicked-looking claws, each the size of Maggie’s whole hand. But the little humanlike symbiont didn't seem to care, scrambling without hesitation from his shoulder-perch and onto the platform of that dangerous palm.

An orange face, upside-down, popped out of the tangle of arms and legs. “Hey hey you guys quit kicking you gotta move this over here and then -- oh, hi! You’re late. You’re supposed to be down in the bays with the others.” Tiny amber optics blinked all in sequence as the little mech focused on all the gaping mecha. An arm waved at them from the flailing knot of spindly frame parts.

“What the frag is that?!” whispered one of the gaping civilian mecha.
